)

Until this time, just doubt simply that they are likely to cooperate each other in some ways.

Almost 1year later from this post posted,  more advanced article was shown at GigaOM today.(http://gigaom.com/2011/05/06/facebook-skype/)

According to this article, both Google and Facebook are looking to either partner with Skype or simply buy it.
In addition, the author said about "why Facebook + Skype is not a bad idea?"

Actually, maybe many experts have been forecasting their cooperation and thinking about "Why powerful if Facebook and Skype will be combined?"

I would like to summarize my opinion in my ways about this question.

1. Over 6 hundred million subscribers + Almost 6 hundred million subscribers

They are the hugest platform providers in each section(SNS/VoIP) having over/almost 6 hundred million subscribers. This combination is so-called 'King + King' if this merge's made.

2. VoIP for Facebook + SNS for Skype

This combination means that they complement each other's weaknesses in many ways.
Needless to say, they will complete real platform having all functions.

3. Full mesh, social graph

Social graph is the one of main point what most of web platform should have nowadays.
This combination will be helpful to make more powerful Facebook's social graph.

4. Threatening to all competitors.

Facebook already has emerged as a rival to threat Google. Moreover, will be more mighty opponent if this merge is realized. In the meantime, most of VoIP competitors will be damaged exceedingly and Telco also will not be able to avoid from the tsunami.
